Louis van Gaal says he'd accept draw for Man United at CSKA Moscow

ESPN FC's Craig Burley defends the major changes Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal made to his squad this week for their match against Everton.
Louis van Gaal said he would settle for a draw from Manchester United's trip to Moscow.
The Dutchman's side face CSKA Moscow on Wednesday and Van Gaal takes the view that the priority in European away games is to avoid defeat at the Khimki Stadium.
United lost their first Champions League game on the road, against PSV Eindhoven, before claiming three points at home to Wolfsburg.
And Van Gaal said in a news conference: "I said before the away match against PSV Eindhoven, one point is good. Three points is better but one point is good."
All four teams in Group B are level on three points and United will face CSKA again at Old Trafford on Nov. 3.
Van Gaal revealed that United had trained in England before flying to Russia because of concerns about gridlock in Moscow.
He added: "We trained in Manchester today because of the logistics and the way we have to prepare for matches.
"We were told that there would be traffic jams in Moscow so we thought it would be better to train at home on our training ground.
"My preference is to train here, because then the players know the circumstances and where they have to play, but in this case we decided to train in Manchester."
Manchester United are back on the road in the Champions League after losing their last away match to PSV.

When the return home, United will face Manchester City for the first time this season in Sunday's Premier League derby at Old Trafford.
But Van Gaal said the Champions League schedule has already given City an advantage as they face Sevilla at home on Wednesday.
"Every club at the top of the league has the same problems. But now Manchester City has a benefit because they are playing at home [on Wednesday] and that is a difference," the United manager said. "You have the benefit of the recuperation. Manchester City don't have the travel we have so they have more rest.
"There is nothing you can do. They have the benefit. We do a lot of things to try and help. We have cold baths, we have warm baths, less training sessions and practice so the freshness is good enough to beat City. But first we have to beat Moscow."

Van Gaal also bristled at suggestions Marcos Rojo, who used to play for Spartak Moscow, is not realising his potential at United.
"I didn't know that he played for Spartak but I have seen him in the World Cup in Brazil and he did it very well and he played also for Sporting Lisbon, there I have analysed him,'' Van Gaal said of the Argentinian, who signed for United from Sporting Lisbon for £16 million last summer.
"What I like is that he is physically a very strong guy, a good header and his pass is fast.
"That we need, always. There is the potential in him to be a very good player for Manchester United."
